Following the presentation, participants will:
- Have a clearer understanding of indications for managing common psychiatric conditions within the primary care setting, emphasizing when referrals to Psychiatry are necessary.
- Be able to identify key information points for inclusion in Psychiatry referral letters, focusing on critical details that facilitate comprehensive care and efficient consultant review.
- Have an increased awareness of practical approaches for the initial management of psychiatric conditions in the primary care setting, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions to support patients while awaiting specialized consultation.
- Be able to identify processes for urgency and triage in psychiatric referrals, and strategies for providing ongoing patient support and care coordination during the wait for a referral.
Topic: Internal Medicine (Steatotic Liver Disease)
Following the presentation, participants will:
- Be able to recognize Steatotic liver disease prevalence and risks.
- Have a clearer understanding of the available liver disease therapies for Steatotic liver disease.
- Be able to recognize the role of primary care in the management of Steatotic liver disease.
