Description:

There is an unfortunate tendency in academe to equate scholarship with research. This excludes many erstwhile scholars who do not wish to or are unable to undertake substantive and sustained programs of research. This workshop explores the many ways that individuals can engage in education scholarship and be recognized as such without having to become full researchers.

Objectives: By the end of this session participants will be able to:

1. Understand the many ways of becoming and being a medical education scholar.
2. Identify different styles and goals of education scholarship.
3. Better direct their work and/or intentions as education scholars
