2023 RE-Boot FPN Specialist Speed Dating Event and AGM

The 2023 RE-Boot FPN Annual General Meeting will be held virtually on June 13th. Following the AGM, RE-Boot will host a Speed Dating with Specialists event, which will give members the opportunity to engage with Dr. Cynthia Slade (Adult ADHD), Dr. Kristina Roche (Rheumatology), & Dr. Catherine Hickey (Geriatric Psychiatry). The event will be virtual, and a Zoom link will be sent out closer to the event date.

This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter for up to 1.5 Mainpro+ credits.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

TOPIC: Rheumatology
At conclusion of this activity, participants will:

1. Have a clearer understanding of indications for referral to rheumatology.
2. Be able to identify key points of information for inclusion in referral letters to rheumatology.
3. Have an increased awareness of tips and tricks for dealing with common rheumatologic conditions (inflammatory arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, gout).

TOPIC: Adult ADHD
At conclusion of this activity, participants will:

1. Have a clearer understanding of indications for referral to psychiatry for ADHD care
2. Be able to identify concerning signs and symptoms in patients that would warrant an ADHD assessment
3. Have an increased awareness of pharmacological and nonpharmacological treatment options for ADHD.

TOPIC: Geriatric Psychiatry
At conclusion of this activity, participants will:

• 1. Have a clearer understanding of indications for referral to psychiatry for seniors' care. 
  2. Be able to identify key points of information for inclusion in psychiatry for seniors care referral letters.
  3. Have an increased awareness of capacity assessment for seniors.
