The Shalloway Family Practice Network is excited to host Dr. Wendy House for the launch of our new internal medicine series, Shifting Dullness: House's Practical Internal Medicine Approach to Primary Care. Kicking off the series is the session Practical Cardiac Pearls for Primary Care, where attendees will:

• be able to select evidence-based diabetic medications for patients with cardiovascular disease, considering both therapeutic benefits and potential risks.
• be able to apply current guidelines for the management of congestive heart failure, including the use of quadruple therapy and appropriate non-pharmacological interventions.
• be able to assess and interpret appropriate diagnostic strategies for ischemic heart disease, including exercise stress testing and CT coronary angiograms, to guide patient care in primary settings.

This activity has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter for up to 1.25 Mainpro+ Certified Activity credits.
